WHY GEOGRAPHY OPTIONAL MAKES YOUR JOURNEY OF CS PREPARATION SMOOTH AND GUARNANTEED?
In the present scheme of Civil Services Examination, penultimate stage i.e. mains are very crucial part & after observing the recent trends, we find that the cut-off of the mains lies around 600-650. If a candidate is able to secure 200+ in optional paper which is quite possible in case of geography can play vital role in selection. Therefore, candidates should select very carefully the optional paper for guaranteed success.
Now when we analyse the past one and a half decade records of CS final selection, geography (Optional) candidates has transcendental position.
What are the underlying factors makes it invincible in civil services preparation?
- Multi-dimensional in approach i.e. blend of scientific & humanistic undercurrent, thus it is preferable not only for candidates of technical backgrounds like engineers, doctors, etc. but also for humanities background candidates.
- No need cram so many facts due to scientific nature of the subject, a candidate can be fetching good marks through appropriately present his/her ideas through maps, diagram, flowcharts, mind maps, etc.
- Dearth of standard & quality study material is available in the market.
- It plays vital role in preparation of preliminary examination (G.S) as well as mains exam particularly G.S Paper-I & in applied aspect G.S Paper-III also.
- Gives proper insight in preparation of essay and personality test.
